Let There Be!
03:28
|
|
||
Let there be light!
Let there be sky!
Let it divide!
Let the earth dry!
It was a good sunrise!
Let there be seas!
Let there be trees!
So many "let there be's"
It was a good sunrise!
+:::+ You created this
You created this
You created this
O my God!
Let there be stars!
In every part
Of that endless dark
Until the sunrise
Let there be lights
To rule the sky
A moon for the night and when the morning comes
A real sunrise!
+:::+
Let the waters be filled!
Flippers and gills!
Let birds fill the skies
It was a good sunrise
Let the fields fill with beasts
Let the creeping things creep
Now cattle and sheep and all things that breathe
Beneath the sunrise
Now the dust of the earth
Divine breath gives birth
The image of God brought forth from the sod
Such a good sunrise

Awake!
04:42
|
|
||
What is this darkness that I see?
It's everywhere
How did it creep up on me?
I'm so scared
Something new inside of me
Is laid bare
All this new depravity
Is right there
What are those footsteps in the Garden?
They're drawing near
I can't bear to face my Father
He's almost here
Why do I even bother?
He sees so clear
I can't imagine any pardon
I want to disappear
+:::+Awake O sleeper
Your life is now turned death
The sun won't shine on you
Tragic dreamer
Gasping for breath
The sun won't rise for you
The life that I once knew
The holy, blessed fruit
Of light has been, by shadows, dimmed
Little lambs upon the alter
Dressed for me by my Father
To clothe me in my sin

We Strive, O Lord!
03:41
|
|
||
Waiting for the dawn of glory
All our fathers tell us stories
Of a mighty King
Dial in and take a listen
O Jehovah's little children
Have you heard the prophecy?
That...
+:::+The long awaited
Son of David
Will come to take His throne
Robed in power
He'll devour
Everything that's not His own
We're waiting to be justified
We're waiting for that sun to rise
Generations now have passed by
We still wrestle, we still try
To save ourselves
The blood of rams and bulls shall cleanse us
And countless hours of our lives
Are spent in holy, sacrifice to God, to save us all from Hell
But...
+:::+
How long O Lord
How long O Lord
Will we be cast from Thee
We cry O Lord
We strive O Lord
We wait for our Messiah's peace
The long awaited
Son of David
Has come to take His throne
Mad with power
We'll devour
Everything He calls His own
We know that we are justified
We've waited for that Son to rise
How dare He claim to be our Christ
We're crying now to crucify

O What A Wondrous Day!
04:20
|
|
||
The deepest dark of loneliness
Is to love and not receive
To give more love than all the rest
And to bear a cross of grief
The path to make me justified
Before my God and King
Was paved with blood spread over all my
Filth, and foul, and stain
+:::+All my sins and sorrows were
Upon the Savior laid
His great love bore my judgment there
Upon that sunless day
O what a wondrous day
The rankest and the foulest smell
Arose from in my heart
Gleefully I tempted Hell
To be my portion and my part
No other hope on earth I find
Nor any other realm
Than Jesus blood, poured out for mine
To save me from myself

I Have Seen!
05:24
|
|
||
Life began in a garden
On that Resurrection Day
A tear, a gasp,"Rabboni!"
Sent Mary on her way
She ran as fast as feet could go
To town she finally came
She found the mourners hiding there
And burst in to the place
saying
I have seen the Risen Son
In glory now arrayed
Death and Hell He rose above
And triumphed over the grave
He walked with me in the garden
And there I heard His voice
I saw His resurrected face
And there I found my joy
We traveled to Emmaus
That Resurrection Day
A stranger approached us
And he joined us on our way
He taught us and he sat with us
And blessed and broke the bread
Our blinded eyes were opened
So we traveled back and said
We have seen the Risen Son
In glory now arrayed
Death and Hell He rose above
And triumphed o'er the grave
He walked with us and He taught us
And we listened to His voice
He opened up the Word to us
And there we found our joy
I found Him as a child
So alone, and lost, and scared
My mother sat and told me
That the God of all things cared
I prayed and found forgiveness
And a faith that never dies
His grace has been enough for me
And will bear me on to Life
I have seen the Risen Son
In glory now arrayed
Death and Hell He rose above
And pulled me from the grave
He walks with me where'er I go
I never shall despair
His Promise lives inside of me
His joy, and love, and peace, and hope
His mighty grace is all I know
His Kingdom is a coming place
Where we shall see Him face to face
His Kingdom and His throne
Are all that we will care to know

A New Jerusalem!
05:06
|
|
||
I've waited so long for this moment
I've cried in my best friend's arms
I've wanted to see this great Heaven
Laid out for the daughters and sons
I've longed for the great hallelujah
And echoes of glorious praise
To ring from the throats of the nations
To worship the Ancient of Days!
And they say--
+:::+Let there be life!
Let there be love!
Let there be freedom from sin for each sinful one!
Let there be peace!
Let there be blessing!
Let there be hope, and when the sun comes up
A new Jerusalem!
I cannot believe what I seeing
Such colors of wonder and glass
They seem to have just been created
But there's no telling how they have lasted
The light here is glory unending
The shadows are brightness too
But this story is only beginning
My song is forever made new
And I say--
+:::+
Come, Jesus come...
